Course Information
Students will explore key concepts in graphic design and apply them to build their own website on Wix - the most popular website builder currently

Module 1: Bitmap

Students are introduced to key concepts in graphic design; practice using GIMP Editor to sketch, draw objects, landscapes

Module 2: Collaging

Students explore different types of collages and apply techniques to design eye-catching works

Module 3: Retouching

Students continue to use tools from modules 1 & 2 to practice photo retouching

Module 4: 3D Modeling

Students apply techniques and create 3D artwork in the Tinkercad environment

Module 5: Book Layout

Students explore book layouts; the requirements for the design of materials; structure how to highlight the main thing, analyze information

Module 6: Vector illustration

Students are learnt vector illustration, the features of vector graphics; how vector graphics are used, the composite elements of a vector image

Module 7: Infographics

Students are introduced to infographics (as a visual way of transmitting information)

Module 8: Identity

Students are introduced to creating brand identity. They explore corporate styles for people and companies

Module 9: Character, humanization

Students learn basics about creating characters' poses, proportions, facial expressions 

Module 10: The simplest frame-by-frame animation

Students are introduced to animation as well as the basics of creating animated images from scratch

Module 11: Create your first website

Explore how the internet works, compare different websites, gain insight into different types of websites, their purpose

Module 12: Basic rules for creating websites

Explore various topics on creating website appearances and functions. They work with text, images, creating menus for website on Wix

Module 13: Becoming a website builder

Students are introduced to HTML and discuss why we need to learn how to use it in web development

Module 14: Manage styles

Students learn how to style a page using HTML and CSS selectors

Module 15: Webpage layout

Students will explore how to use Figma, and apply what they've learned to create a multi-page website

Module 16: Placing block in a row

Students explore how to create blocks for better control of the layout of the page

Module 17: Professional layout

Students learn how to use Pseudo- for their website to look more professional

Module 18: Professional website

Students explore more professional knowledge to enhance the layout and the style of the page

Apply design principles and visual
communication proficiently, complete at least 9 projects graphic design projects
Learn how computers work. Distinguish what is a beautiful website and its use.
Able to use HTML&CSS; Apply UX/UI principles when building websites
